Cancellation Policy

Overview
This policy outlines the charges and procedures for canceling or modifying your catering booking with Sughara.
Important: Lock-in Period
Final menu selections and headcounts are locked in 48 hours before your event. Changes made after this time will incur additional charges.
1. Cancellation Charges
Charges are calculated based on the number of days before your event date:

2. Modification Charges
If you wish to change your event details rather than cancel:
- Date Change: Charges apply as per cancellation schedule above
- Headcount Increase: Additional charges at standard per-plate rates
- Headcount Decrease: No refund for reduced numbers within 48 hours
- Menu Changes: 48+ hours: Free | 24-48 hours: 10% charge | Less than 24 hours: No changes allowed
3. Rescheduling Policy
Instead of canceling, you can reschedule your event:
- Rescheduling 15+ days before: No additional charge (subject to availability)
- Rescheduling 8-14 days before: 25% of total amount chargeable
- Rescheduling 4-7 days before: 50% of total amount chargeable
- Rescheduling less than 4 days: Not recommended, full charges may apply
4. Force Majeure Cancellations
In case of unavoidable circumstances (natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, etc.), Sughara will work with you to find a fair solution which may include:
- Full rescheduling without penalties
- Partial refunds
- Credit for future events
5. No-Show Policy
If Sughara's team arrives at your venue and the event is not held (without prior notice), no refund will be provided.
6. Customer-Initiated Cancellations
To cancel a booking:
- Email info@sughara.in with subject: "Cancellation Request - [Event Date]"
- Include your booking reference number
- State your reason for cancellation
- We will respond within 24 hours
- Refund will be processed within 7-10 business days
7. Sughara-Initiated Cancellations
In rare cases where Sughara needs to cancel:
- Full refund will be provided
- Alternative vendor recommendations will be offered
- Apology with compensation for inconvenience
8. Partial Service Issues
If service is provided but issues occur:
- Report issues immediately during the event
- We will attempt to resolve on-site
- If issues cannot be resolved, partial refunds considered based on severity
- All claims must be reported within 24 hours of event completion
9. Special Bookings
For large events (500+ guests), custom menus, or special arrangements:
- Cancellation policy may vary as per contract
- Longer advance notice may be required
- Higher advance payments may apply
10. Refund Processing
- Refunds are processed to original payment method
- Processing time: 7-10 business days
- Bank transfers may take additional time
- A confirmation email will be sent upon processing
